A Teeth Whitening Machine for Salons, Spas and Mobile Technicians
Most salons adding whitening do not need a clinical system on day one. This unit runs the same protocol as our higher-priced machines — blue LED activating a professional peroxide gel — on a floor-standing rolling stand with touchpad control and a 0–20 minute adjustable timer, at the entry price point.
Used across salons, spas, brow and lash studios and mobile whitening technicians.
Built for the Business, Not Just the Chair
A machine that adds whitening to an existing service menu without demanding a dedicated room, a fixed install or a clinical budget.
Rolls between rooms
Floor-standing mobile stand with adjustable height and arm position. Wheel it to whichever chair is free, then wheel it back out.
Works in a normal chair
No dental chair, no plumbing, no fixed mounting. Salons, brow and lash studios and med spa rooms all accommodate it as-is.
Breaks down for mobile work
The stand separates from the head for transport, so mobile technicians can run house calls and pop-ups with the same unit.
What the Two Light Modes Do
The head carries six blue diodes and four red. They are not interchangeable and they are not doing the same job.
Photoinitiators in professional whitening gels absorb in the blue band around 460–480 nm. This is the mode that activates the gel, and it is what you will run for the majority of every session.
A lower-intensity alternative mode included on the unit, commonly selected by providers who prefer a gentler light phase. It is not the gel activation mode and should not replace blue in your protocol.
The Timer's Maximum Is a Limit, Not a Target
Follow the light mode and exposure time your gel manufacturer specifies. Running longer than the gel calls for does not improve results, and the machine's 20-minute maximum exists to give you room for a full protocol, not to define one.

Building a Complete Whitening Setup
The machine is the equipment. The consumables are what you actually use up, and a machine on its own will not let you treat a client.
- Whitening gel. A light-activated professional gel. Browse the professional whitening gel range — 16% is the low-sensitivity starting point, 25% is the balanced professional option, 35% and 44% are the strongest and require a gingival barrier.
- Gingival barrier and a curing light. Use with every professional gel; mandatory at 35% and above. The barrier is set with a handheld curing light, which is a different device from the whitening lamp.
- Retractors, goggles, shade guide. A 20-shade guide is how you record a before and after that a client can actually see.
- The consumables bundled. The teeth whitening starter kit at $199 packages gel, barrier, retractors and accessories together, and is designed to pair with this machine.
If you would rather buy the whole setup as one item, the professional teeth whitening kit includes a machine, 25 gels and the full chairside equipment list.
Running the Appointment, and Comparing the Range
The lamp covers one step of the protocol. A clean result depends on the steps either side of it.
Contraindications first, then record the starting shade before anything else.
15–30 minutes depending on the gel. Follow the manufacturer's timing, not the machine's maximum.
Final shade documented, aftercare explained.

Training is sold separately, and it matters
The LaserGlow Online Teeth Whitening Certification Course covers the full protocol across 8 modules and 34 lessons — screening, isolation, application, timing and aftercare. Requirements for who may offer whitening services vary by state and country; verify what applies where you operate.
Teeth Whitening Machine for Salons: FAQ
Everything providers ask before adding an entry-level whitening unit to their service menu.
How much does a teeth whitening machine cost?
Professional units generally run from about $375 to several thousand dollars. This entry-level machine is $375, our LED touch-screen model is $675 and our professional articulating-arm model is $750. Above that range you are into dental-supplier systems that cost several thousand and are built for chairside dental use. For a salon adding whitening as a service, the entry-level and mid units cover the same protocol.
Can a salon use a teeth whitening machine?
Salons, spas, brow and lash studios and mobile technicians use machines like this routinely, and this unit was specified for exactly that setting — it works in a standard treatment chair with no fixed installation. What varies is not the equipment but the regulation. Who may offer whitening services, and under what supervision, differs by state and by country. Verify the scope-of-practice requirements that apply where you operate before offering services.
Do I need a dental chair or special room for it?
No. The unit is floor-standing on a rolling base with adjustable height and arm position, so it works over a normal salon or treatment chair. It needs a standard wall outlet and enough floor space to position the head over a reclined client. No plumbing, no fixed mounting, no dedicated room.
Is this machine portable enough for mobile whitening?
Yes. The lamp head separates from the stand for transport, which is what makes it workable for mobile technicians running house calls, events and pop-ups. It is a floor-standing unit rather than a handheld one, so plan for a car boot rather than a shoulder bag, and allow a few minutes to reassemble on site.
What is the difference between the blue and red LED modes?
Blue is the working mode. Photoinitiators in professional whitening gels absorb in the blue band around 460 to 480 nanometres, so blue is what activates the gel and what you run for most of the session. Red is included as a lower-intensity secondary setting some providers prefer for a gentler light phase. It does not activate gel and should not replace blue in your protocol.
Which whitening gels work with this machine?
Any professional gel formulated for light activation. That covers hydrogen peroxide at 16%, 25%, 35%, 36% and 44%, 44% carbamide peroxide, and peroxide-free PAP+ formulas. Gels at 35% and above require a gingival barrier. Follow the exposure time the gel manufacturer specifies rather than the machine's maximum.
What do I need to buy alongside the machine?
At minimum: whitening gel, gingival barrier and a curing light to set it, retractors, protective eyewear and a shade guide for before-and-after records. The $199 starter kit packages the consumables together and is designed to pair with this machine. If you would rather buy everything as one item, the professional kit includes a machine plus 25 gels and the full chairside equipment list.
How long does a whitening session take?
Active LED exposure typically runs 15 to 30 minutes depending on the gel, well within this unit's 0–20 minute adjustable timer for the light-activation step. A full appointment including screening, isolation, gel application and aftercare usually takes 45 to 60 minutes. Follow the timing the gel manufacturer specifies rather than the machine's maximum.
How many clients does it take to cover the machine?
Providers commonly charge $150 to $300 per whitening session, so at typical pricing the machine cost is covered within the first handful of clients. That is arithmetic, not a promise — what you actually earn depends entirely on your pricing, local demand, marketing, costs and any requirements that apply where you operate. Nothing here is an income guarantee. The teeth whitening business guide works through the real numbers.
Should I start with this machine or the more expensive ones?
Start here if you are adding whitening to an existing service menu, running a handful of appointments a week, or working mobile. Move up to the $675 touch-screen model if you want digital presets and a second operator running the same protocol, or the $750 professional model if you need articulating-arm positioning for back-to-back volume. All three activate gel identically — the difference is control and speed, not results.
